Trat is still a non-touristy traditional small town in Thailand..
The people are very friendly.
Trat is located between Cambodia and the Gulf of Thailand and
many Islands such as Koh-Chang, Koh-Kood are nearby.
History of Residang Guesthouse
The Name Residang was created during the French Occupation
1893-1904.
The French had their District office ( Residence ) at Residang
Camport, 50m. away from Residang Guesthouse, which opened in 1998.
This is the only Guesthouse in Trat with concrete walls, 4 stories high.
Positioned 550 Meter east of the market (city center), in a
quiet Residential aerea, prefered by quiet people..We are western run, with many invisible amenities:
American Standard Double Box Spring beds (Rather than the usual hard mattresses ). LARGE rooms: (16-30m2), with windows on two sides.
Four of our rooms have private balconies.
All rooms have screeens, private toilets, hot showers and cable TV's with International Channels.
In-room WI-FI.
Our sheets are spanking clean!
Organize your trip by yourself and you will find a comfortable room in
our guesthouse for a short or a long stay.

Taxi service.
We sell BOAT TICKETS and make the RESERVATIONS to the nearby Islands such as Koh-Chang,
Koh- Kood , Koh-Maak, Koh-Wai. We take care that the ferry company you really pick up.
We sell bus tickets to Cambodia.

Our restaurant serves breakfast, (real coffee and Western food.)
Fill out the online reservation form in English or in German, so you know where you will stay after a long flight.ATTENTION
Recently busses and taxis have been stopping 20 km. before arriving in TRAT, (or the Guesthouse), attempting to get passengers to go to other destinations. Refuse this!
Before you arrive in Trat Bus Station, call us so that we can take care of you. Be careful at the Trat bus station. Some Taxi drivers, (working for other places) may try to confuse you and not take you to your destination.Refuse to pay the Taxi in advance.
